The alarm clock can remind you about important events by playing your favorite music, showing and talking a notification message, opening a document, or starting the program you like. Alarm clock mode allows to set alarm for the current day or any forthcoming date. Number of alarms is almost unlimited. Besides, there are special templates for setting the daily, weekly, monthly or single day alarms for certain time. This feature allows you to organize your schedule of course attending, schedule of monthly bill payments, calendar of birthdays, etc.

IHome's latest portable iPod/iPhone dock, the iP49, features a suitcase-friendly, convertible design and a $159.99 (direct) price tag that's too high. It's not really fair to expect a speaker dock that's made to be portable to deliver top-notch audio performance, but when the price is this high, you should expect a few more extras. The built-in radio is FM-only and has only six presets, and the alarm clock is strictly no-frills (it lacks multiple alarm times, for instance). Still, the iP49 redeems itself with a useful remote control, respectable audio at moderate volumes, a rechargeable battery, and the aforementioned portable, packable design.
Design
The iP49, which is certified for iPhones and iPods, measures a slim 2.6 by 10.2 by 6.1 inches (HWD) when it's closed, and about 6.5 by 10.2 by 6.1 inches when you slide the top panel from a horizontal to vertical position for music playback. The vertical panel houses the speakers behind a black grille, as well as a blue-lit display for time, date, radio station, battery status, and alarm information. Playback controls flank the docking area on the horizontal panel, along with buttons for programming radio presets, EQ settings, alarm and clock settings, and switching audio sources. Along the back panel, there's a 3.5mm Aux input, a DST switch for daylight savings adjustments, a Radio Stereo/Mono switch, a Remote Auto/On switch that disables the remote when the system is running on its internal battery, and the power adapter input jack. A rechargeable Lithium-ion battery sits inside a compartment on the bottom panel.
