The driveway alarm system will produce a voice alert every time it’s triggered. Some models allow you to program one message per zone.
In line with this, voice alerts may be used for two purposes. You can use it to alert yourself of the potential danger your child is facing or you can use it to scare burglars away.
If you want to keep yourself informed, you need to make sure that the receiver for the driveway alarm system is located at the place where you’re most likely to be when you’re away from your children. As for the latter, it’s best to install one receiver per zone so that burglars would have the benefit of hearing your warning.
Connect with Loud Speaker When shopping for driveway alarm systems, always look for the model with the widest range possible that you can afford. Secondly, look for a system that allows you to speak through its transmitter. Check if it comes up with backup battery power: this will ensure that your driveway alarm system will still work even when you’re suffering from a power failure.

With a recent string of attempted burglaries in New Canaan and the summer vacation season upon us, now is a good time to take a look at these five simple tips to help defend your home against burglars:
1) Inform your neighbors.
"This is probably the best thing to do," says Sgt. Carol Ogrinc, who believes letting your neighbors know when you're planning vacations can be a powerful deterrent to burglaries.
In addition to talking to your neighbors prior to vacationing, it's also important to let neighbors know if you're expecting any workers at the house. If so, try to find out what kind of cars the workers use and when they will be in the driveway.
If possible, leave a key with your neighbor. If there is an emergency, police will have an easier time gaining access to your home.
2) Know who your workers are.
"One of the first things we ask people after burglaries is 'who have you had working at the house and who knew you were going away?'," says Ogrinc.
